CUERPO CIERTO ( Ejercicio 1)

This work is the first exercise in video in its relation with the movement of the body unified by predetermined concepts that relation with the “public and private space” . A first displacement of the plastic urban intervention to the corporal intervention in spaces where the body conditions a new reading.

The idea was to experiment in this support, because it presented different possibilities, from the frame of the glance of the spectator, the different “nontraditional” places for the dance and the edition form that constituted a new practice of the “coreographer” - editor (to cut, stick-fragment-express-slow--repetition, etc.).

LAS MANCHADAS (Ejercicio 2)

It is a work based on the collective and biographical memory that investigates on the act of halting and prison. This has been worked from improvisation exercises that in the process investigated reinstated some repressive activities carried out in the Military Dictatorship in Chile that it has like consequence to load the body of the experience exerted in solving some aspects to way of fixed of movement and others being open to the improvisation, soon to be re-arranged in the location. The relation with the sense, the corporal work, the audio-visual picture is located in certain zones of direct and spontaneous form and in other fixed and metaphorical ones. The video does not have a reading of linear story, rather it is constituted in sequences that fragmentarily are related by different aesthetic elements and of sequences .

EJERCICIOS URBANOS

This video investigates on the relation between ethnography and dance, understanding the public space like a choreographic space practiced by anonymous dancers. In the second part, a carried out daily activity in the European cities is retaken that is the harvesting and recycling of found objects, that in the case of this work it is tried to give to a new function through the manipulation and the interaction with the body that dances.

From a critical position settles down a relation between the house and the dance like places of “the feminine thing”, predetermined common spaces for the gender. As also it tries to question the actions or “tasks” carried out to the interior of the house and movements that can be recognized as it dances from the question when this is dance? , What causes that this is dance? Questions that in the case of this video border the limits between art and daily life.

COS I RESTA (Ejercicio 4)

The video investigates on the aesthetic possibilities that they allow to the camera of digital photo and the programs of edition of video and photographic intervention, a machine that captures the real matter of a body that moves, but soon dilutes to its reality in its digitalization and mixture of effects, a body that becomes object and pixel. This virtual body maps and planes of Barcelona are printed to him that speak of a territory that is put in front to the reality from a panoptic view that gives to projection to its outlines and their passages, maps and planes of routes, pieces of streets, and views, as a fragment of a experience where today they are only rest.
