CUERPO CIERTO

This assembly of choreography and with inclusions of live video, operated on the concepts of public space and private space through the interpersonal relations and the behaviors of “the feminine” gender, mentioning certain cliches and “dramatic” situations as a denoting the representations exerted on the woman in our culture.

As well that treated with the behavior of the subject in the different social spaces within the context from the urban thing.

This work especially was thought for the “Arcis Theater” (pertaining to the Arcis University) that included a space type “residential department LofT style” in its interior as an appropriation and reference towards the same treated concepts.

This it was the first choreographic work devised and directed by Brisa MP with his first company that was called DE-Bordes before giving the name of Caída Libre.

This choreography was based on the anthropological studies of the French theoretician Georges Bataille with respect to the eroticism. This intercrossed with the concept of “loss” that allowed to find touching connections in the creation of movements with the interpreters it was related to the sexual thing, the virginity and the death like erotic state according to what it was understood of Bataille, especially referring to his book “Tears of Eros” (1961). Scenographic elements were also included that were used metaphorically, referring to experiences and the concepts treated like the illumination design.

The last writing that Juan M. Pollier realised before dying was included in the final part of the work.
